Christmas in July

Thanks to my friend Karin, we had a Christmas waffle dinner complete w/ gifts.

We received the waffle iron from her, that makes a barn and animals, also when the waffles are complete the iron makes little chick sounds, too fun !
Titus and I received clothes ( click on pic).
Mike received a Tassimo coffee maker, ( not pictured).
And, Noah received his third sand bucket of the season, as the dog has chewed to shreds the last two. He also got a pair of camo fipflops.
After dinner, we loaded up our bikes and went to Freedom Park for a family ride. It was our first time together, because my Mom just bought us a bike carrier for Titus. Then we came home for a cool-off in pool and bathes.
What joy to be able to do outdoor activities on Christmas.
Noah asked me today if he could be born-again, ( I was singing a song with the phrase), so I reminded him Nicodemus who asked Jesus the same question.
At our Christmas dinner, i told Mike Noah had asked, and Noah piped up "yeah, then she told me some story". LOL
I wonder what he expected me to say about being born-again, of coarse we tell him alot he can give his heart to Jesus............

Crockpot Blues

Here I go, again.

My crockpot broke, when it slipped out of my hand, while washing this

morning. What a bummer, I luv to use this thing, and with all my coffee drama from last week.............

I bought this one at a church family's yard sale, when they were raising $ to go to Youth Camp.

What is Working for me is, The Cheesecake Factory will sell slices of cheesecake for $1.50 next Wendsday, and I have a gift card : }

Coffee Drama

I thought it'd be a good idea to teach Noah how to make coffee??????
First we rinsed the pot, and last we rinsed the pot, as it cracked on the side of the ceramic sink with all the enthusiasm a 5 yr. old could muster. What was I thinking???????? Lesson over, lesson learned.....
But, we have a french press, so Momma will survive?
Then, Mike thought it'd be a good idea to scrub the screen of the french press.....
yeah it WAS glued together at the bottom, and now is not long operable....
Off to the store I went, no I hawkwed out Freecycle hoping for a coffeemaker listing, to no avail........off to the store I went, and Wow $40 for a maker ?
Well, I was thinking CHEAP, and bought the smallest,
Mike's laughter at the 4 cup ( 1mugtohim) has me back to hawking out Freecycle for a hand-me-down.
And, no I didn't have the forethought to save machine and reorder carafe, because that would just be to easy !

Works for me Wendesday

Check out Shannon's blog @ RocksinmyDryer, she is the hostess for WorksformeWendsdays.http://rocksinmydryer.typepad.com/shannon/

This is Titus in the blow up boat we have for our pool. Last week on WfmW, another blogger had the idea to use an empty blow up pool, to contain her little one. Then I had my own "light bulb" moment. Here he is happy as a jaybird, and my lap and hands are scottfree !( well for a couple minutes anyway)

Here I go, again.

This is a morning shot of Mike and Noah doing their devotions.

I love how the sun splotch is right above them, I like to humor myself and say it's the Holy Spirit descending on them. And, if I don't humor myself who will? Actually the Lord always blesses me with funny sights and little boys to laugh with. A joyful heart is good medicine according to the book of Proverbs.

Happy 4th of JULY

Liberty to set the captives free.
We are a greateful family to live in the United States.
Although I am not proud of all of our history,
I am proud of where we stand today.
Mike and I both have traveled abroad,
and are always glad and relived to board that last flight back that brings us home to independence that our country offers.
Mike is due home from Honduras tomorrow, so i am putting this post here, today.
We'll be to busy celebrating all we love about our family and freedom in the States with Smore's and blue chesse salads?

Wordless Wendsday
