My Hubby Rocks !

Yesterday,Mike took Noah roofing with him.
It was his first "house call". A family from church had some leaks from improper installation. The chimney's flashing was too short.
Noah had no problem climbing up and walking the roof line. This excites me, because although it's a low paying skill, it's a skill he'll learn, that can bless others.
Mike and Noah were not paid for this service, yet this family will always be fond of us for sharing skills. And, that can be way more important than cash.
Proverbs talks about being rich in friendship, and we certainly agree.
This week again, my Hubby rocks!

Blanketing Stellan, his Mama, the Dr's and his family in prayer today.

From Mckmama herself: "He [Stellan] was quite unexpectedly given to us, and even more unexpected was his diagnosis of heart failure: Premature Atrial Contraction at 20 weeks; Supraventricular Tachycardia, hydrops, and intermittent advanced secondary heart block at 23 weeks; and enlargement of the heart at 32 weeks. We were told at 24 weeks that he would surely die. God performed a miracle and MckMuffin is still with us! The doctors are unsure about what will happen to our baby when he is born. I have no Issue

I have no issue with shirtless boys.

At the Fall Festival the sunshine was hot !

Noah asked if he could take off his shirt and " just wear these" as he pointed to his boy nipples, bbbbbbbaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh ! I did LOL, too.

I used to do this at church lunches and dinners, so his nice shirt would stay nice. Well ppl aren't as into my thriftiness, most women respond with the whys girls can't do it, oh yeah I'm a girl I know it ! Anyhow tacky as it may be I have no issue with it.

I hate winter, and being cold....... Mike hauled our wood stove from our last house and installed it in the garage of our home now.

I love the heat of a fire to get me toasty all the way through.

Yesterday, he took Noah to the property to a down tree, taught Noah how to work hard, and gave us insurance we'll be warm.

i love this man that can bear the chill of winter, yet does a day's worth of work to keep me happy despite of the cold.

He also grooms my lavendar rose bush for me all seasons, here is the fall harvest.

Not Me Monday

I has so much fun with this last week, I'm going again;

I did not let my Mother pay for my grocers and babysit for free, no way !

I did not sleep in and let Hubby handle a full blown diaper explosion, nope!

I did not stop at Panara for a coffee and bear claw, on way to doctors, nada !

I did not allow Hubby to buy me thirty dollar slippers, zip !

I did not say "told-u-so", when the doctor agreed I need surgery, well !

I did not dream that I did a boatload of work, and wake up more tired, no a chance!

So Titus will be a horse for Hallelujah night!

My Mom is in town so we hit the thrift store, she bought this brand new for $5.oo. It perfect, because it's warm, Oct.31st at night is freezing here.

Last Oct.31 st Noah & I were in Fla. it stayed light out longer, everyone in neighborhood came out of their homes, and received one another. So different than here. Noah was Superman, yes a blonde Superman, it's a shame I had no pictures. This year he will be U.S marshall, with a star badge, cap gun and very handsome Steston hat.

Why am I posting about this now?

I will be having a much needed surgery at the beginning of Nov., and may not have the chance to brag about how cute my boys are, plain & simple!

Titus is almost 1 !

I love this little hard head ! He'll says a word once like (shoe, bubble)when he's excited about it, and never again. It makes me think I'm crazy, but no he's a boy and once is enough for him. I've been teaching him sign language for eat more. He will put his pudgy little hands under the highchair tray, as if to say," No Momma, no chance of it". And, "Momma" is not in his vocabulary. But, as of yesterday, he can walk, I am so thankful. No more wiggly baby in public ripping my shirt off.

I do love how he gets so excited to see me he laughs out loud. And, his eyebrow lift to see if i am watching him. Also, his sweet baby voice when he attemps to talk to an object. He's gonna give me a run for it, but I'll enjoy every moment.

How fun is this, being a realist this is right up my alley, so here goes.

I did not eat a milk laden casserole for breakfast after being left out all night, that might make me sick !

I did not consider putting a pacifier in an Asst. Pastor's backpack on his way to retreat, b/c that just ornery :)

I did not let me baby cry himself to sleep, b/c good Moms' just don't do that !

I did not go to doctor's to have them pierce my uterus six times with no end result, then get food poisoning from lunch and spend the whole afternoon on toilet, besides the side effect of cramping from procedure. Nope not me !

Babble

No, not baby babble, just mine.

Mike went on men's retreat, and both boys are teething molars.

We went to a Fall Festival we attend every year. It's a blast for Noah. His favorite are the Ministry mimes. Yes, I let him pet the dirty goats there.

He fell off his bike and as you can see got quite a bang. Titus is refusing to say Momma, but is easily forgiven as he's so cute, as you can see.

We are thankful for the nice weather and getting out as much as possible, although it gets dark at 6:30pm.

Babble, just as stated.

I almost forgot my excuse to brag on Hubby.

Anyhow, he is going to watch the boys while I go to a town wide Tag sale.

This is going to be a true reprieve for me.

My Hubby Rocks !

Of Mice and Men, mine is a mice killer.

Yes, for the first time we had mice. They ate Titus' formula, and left their deposits. Too, gross to even look at.

But, Mike got his Shop Vac out, made a trip to Home Depot for poison, and up to the attic he when. He did an excellent job, and I didn't have to lift a finger to the mice.

As, if thay wasn't enough, he aslo re-chaulked our tub. And, bought and installed a new handle, just because the last one drove me crazy.

He's so good to me!

All these minor house repairs that keep a house a home, has me thinking about the cost of living.

The said repairs Hubby did yestarday cost us $60., with free labor!

That's a food budget for alot of families !

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the fun part of the day, Mike took Noah to the park and taught him to ride his bike without training wheels. Whoppie ! It gave Noah courage, and when we sat down to pratice reading, he nailed his 3 letter words !

I cannot say enough good things about why my Hubby Rocks !

I totally yelled at the Walmart lady today.

She didn't deserve it, and wasn't expecting it.

Her request was that I not take the cart with Titus in it, to the bathroom hall.

Noah was using the Men's room and I always position myself to hear and see.

Had she known she was calling out to Momma Bear, maybe she'd thought twice, but her training only allowed her to view me as a thief, a thief with nothing in the cart.

The manager heard me yelling (have any of you heard me yell?) and came over to reassure us that so long as I didn't go into the bathroom with the cart, it was fine.

Got that cleared up.

Noah came out and asked, " Momma who was here?", he thought I must be so happy to see someone, that I shouted.

Busted! Now,how could I explain to my 6yr. old, I was giving the nice Lady behind the counter a mouthful ?

Mike said I should have told the Lady to come and get the cart, LOL.

Oh well, I'll not leave the house for a couple days, until I get my cage in order !
