EEO sponsorship

Noah's first night home. Christmas 2004
Mike & I first got involved with a Calvary affiliate program Eastern European Outreach

when researching our Ukrainian adoption. We were impressed with their commitment to Ukraine, and decided to sponsor a child.
Her name is Yana, we have sponsored her for 6 yrs. And, were able to met her when traveling for our adoption.
She is a ball of fire, sweet smile and wise beyond her years, as she was six at the time we meet her. We meet at church where she sat on Mike's lap and dangled her shoes we had helped purchase for her Birthday. We had no translator, and our driver knew no English. We did alot of smiling and hugging !
Days later on our 9 hr. drive to Noah's orphanage, the driver told our translator what Yana had been saying to us the day we met. " I want you to be my Daddy's, please take me home with you. I will be a good girl."
Well, the Lord is wise and knew that had we heard, we'd say " Yes". But, by the time the driver and translator told us it was too late. Noah alone was to be ours.

Today Noah has become a sponsor for a boy in Ukraine.
This experience will be enduring and possibly a life-long friendship.

As the holidays are approaching, we will "tighten our belts", to be able to send our monthly support of $27.00.
Noah has already given the money he was saving for Star Wars Lego's. And, is writing a colorful letter to send out. He really wants to send ABC's Home Makeover to fix their home, but we me agreed we will commit to pray for Jesus to take care of their home.
I post this as an encouragement, that their are needy children everywhere, we can help, will you ?

Tackle it Tuesday.www.5mintuesformom.com

Tackle It Tuesday !

This isn't my Tackle, although an on going project at my home.
Our newly married friends Nick and Katie savaged this table. They have begun
sanding, and highly detailed ( IMHO ) wooden coffee table. Then, they will stain it to match their decor, a pumpkin spice. They've been working here, b/c an apt. isn't conducive to sanding and staining. It's nice to have their company on the days they come over. I plan to post their finished product, soon !

We had such a great time at the Church Party last night ! Mike was free from Pastor duties, so we hung out as a family. The bonus was my Mom came to town for the night.
It was fun to visit with everyone. And, my 3 extroverts had plenty to do, lol.

My Hubby Rocks !

Yesterday,Mike took Noah roofing with him.
It was his first "house call". A family from church had some leaks from improper installation. The chimney's flashing was too short.
Noah had no problem climbing up and walking the roof line. This excites me, because although it's a low paying skill, it's a skill he'll learn, that can bless others.
Mike and Noah were not paid for this service, yet this family will always be fond of us for sharing skills. And, that can be way more important than cash.
Proverbs talks about being rich in friendship, and we certainly agree.
This week again, my Hubby rocks!

Let's Pray !

Blanketing Stellan, his Mama, the Dr's and his family in prayer today.

From Mckmama herself: "He [Stellan] was quite unexpectedly given to us, and even more unexpected was his diagnosis of heart failure: Premature Atrial Contraction at 20 weeks; Supraventricular Tachycardia, hydrops, and intermittent advanced secondary heart block at 23 weeks; and enlargement of the heart at 32 weeks. We were told at 24 weeks that he would surely die. God performed a miracle and MckMuffin is still with us! The doctors are unsure about what will happen to our baby when he is born. But God is not unsure!! We are praying for MckMuffin's full healing, but we know that God is good no matter what He decides."You can Check out MckMama's site to read more,
